KOWLOON CLUB - Information Technology Group (Henceforth referred to as ITG or the Group, in short)
1. OUR GROUP

ITG is an interest alliance of computer literate and others interested in the application and impact of Information Technology on people and our society.
2. OUR ROLES
--------------
2.1 ITG plays important roles in promoting Information
Technology among the members.
2.2 ITG provides an avenue for its members to work in teams to
analyse issues related to IT and to implement actions.
2.3 ITG provides its members opportunities of collaboration with
similar interest groups of other national or international
organisations.
3. OUR OBJECTIVES

3.1 To work together to promote, enhance and develop ideas,
issues, knowledge and projects that are related to Information
Technology.
3.2 To share our IT knowledge, expertise and experiences with our
members.
3.3 To promote development and utilisation of Information
Technology among members in Kowloon Club.
4. OUR MEMBERSHIP

4.1 Must be a member of Kowloon Club.
4.2 Must sign-up and submit an application form to ITG, either
through Internet on-line registration or Kowloon Club Office.
5. THE ITG ADMINISTRATION
---------------------------
5.1 The administration of the Group shall be entrusted to a Working Committee consisting of the following to be elected at each ITG Annual General Meeting (AGM):
a) A Chairman
b) An Honorary Secretary
c) An Honorary Treasurer
d) Working Committee Members, should be at least 6 and up to 15,
this can be changed whenever deemed necessary and as agreed in
the ITG AGM.
5.2 The duty of the Working Committee is to organise and supervise the activities of the Group, to keep track of the financial position of the Group and to make decisions on matters affecting the Group. It may not act contrary to the expressed wishes of the ITG AGM without prior reference to the general membership and always remains subordinate to the resolutions from the Kowloon Club General Meeting.
Only ITG Working Committee Member carries equal vote in the ITG Monthly Meeting.
5.3 Names for the above offices shall be proposed and seconded at the Annual General Meeting and it will be followed with and by a simple majority vote of the members present. All the officers may be reelected, but must not hold the same office for more than 4 consecutive years.
5.4 Any ITG Member may be admitted into the Working Committee after a period of 6 months of contributions to the Group, by a simple majority vote of the elected Working Committee.
5.5 The Working Committee may recommend to the Kowloon Club Executive Committee to expel any Member from ITG whose conduct is deemed to be injurious or prejudicial to the interest of the Group.
5.6 Nominations for election to the Working Committee, can be submitted through email or in writing to the Honorary Secretary before 6:00pm. 14 days before the date of the ITG Annual General Meeting. In case there are insufficient candidates to fill the number of seats, nominations may be taken from the floor at the Meeting. Notice of nominations shall be sent to each member 7 days before the ITG AGM.
5.7 Voting at AGM shall be by secret ballot in the following cases :
a) For the election of the members of the Working Committee
b) Amendments to the Group's Constitution.
c) Dissolution, or,
d) Any other matters affecting members generally
Each ITG member carries equal right in the ITG AGM.
Voting rights can only be exercised on the spot during the AGM and voting by proxy will NOT be accepted.
6. Duties of Office Bearers

6.1 The Chairman
The Chairman shall be the Chairman at all General Meetings, Monthly Meetings and Special Meetings of the Group and shall conduct the business of such meetings according to the provision of the Constitution. He/She shall also represent the Group in its dealing with the EXCO Committee of Kowloon Club and other organisation or bodies.
6.2 The Honorary Secretary
The Honorary Secretary shall carry out instructions of the Working Committee. He/She shall report to the Working Committee any infringement of the Constitution, which may come to his notice. He/She shall attend to the general correspondence of the Group, and summon and keep minutes of all meetings.
6.3 The Honorary Treasurer
The Treasurer shall carry out instructions of the Working Committee. He/She shall report to the Working committee at all General Meetings, Monthly Meetings and Special Meetings of the Group's financial position, which can be obtained from the Administration Office, Kowloon Club. He will keep track of the funds' income and expenditure for every ITG activity and a copy of the monthly statement will be passed to the Honorary Secretary for references.
6.4 Other Committee Members
All other Committee Members will try their very best to assist ITG to achieve the stated roles and objectives, They will also work as a team in running ITG successfully.
In the absence of the Chairman, and/or the honorary secretary, the Working Committee members present shall nominate any other Working Committee members at the meetings to act on their behalf.
